Contrast of Texture

 

 

 

 

The tiny Church of The Sacred Heart, on a remote Western Australian mission was painstakingly decorated by parishioners over a period of years. A variety of local shells were gathered, graded into different sizes then worked into the decoration of the church. Not only has this created a wonderful contrast in surface textures, it has tied the church to its location on a remote stretch of coastline.
