Contrast of Size

The beautifully simple composition of Max Dupain’s photograph, ‘Sun baker”, is what gives it such appeal. There are just three elements – the sky, the sun baker and the sand. The contrasting  size of each of these elements, their careful placement, the low camera angle and shallow depth of field put the viewer right on the beach with the subject.
